What is a Super Flat Flooring?
The word Super flat was first used by the Face Companies in the 1970s to describe the flatness/levelness required to support the full-speed, trouble-free operation of Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) lift trucks. To achieve this high degree of flatness/levelness, Superflat floors must be placed in long narrow strips and are in accordance with TR34 and are designed to accommodate the racking. The form for Superflat placements must be set with great accuracy. Specialized finishing techniques and continuous quality control measures are also required.
How can you place so much concrete at one time?
We use Somero S-158C Laser Screeds, of our own design which are manufactured by Somero® Enterprises, Inc. This screed is designed to strike off a very low slump in concrete to extremely high tolerances for on-grade slabs. We also have an extensive arsenal of the latest finishing tools including Aquarius, and BTC Power Riding Trowels.
